“When are you getting married? Do you want children? How long will you stay in that job? Aren't you buying a house?” When family and society turn adulthood into a checklist, thirty can feel like the deadline for every major decision. The panic years are more than private anxiety: they bring together career pressure, gender expectations, the biological clock, relationships, climate crisis, and uncertainty about the future. This course helps you examine where those pressures come from, recognize social double standards, and express your own doubts, hopes, and choices in nuanced French.

Course Content
Four themes, from age anxiety to life choices
Four units begin with the sense of a countdown at thirty and move through career, relationships, parenthood, and the future. Interviews, short films, social-media comics, and sociological texts turn private anxiety into a public issue that can be analyzed, debated, and reframed.
